We also talked about the idea of adoption, the call she received five years ago from the facility that housed her one last frozen egg, and how that call changed their family forever.

Renee Rivera came on the show to talk about growing up with Latinx in the midwest, motherhood, and the reason she became an educator. Renee retells the tragedy that struck her family 15 years ago when her 6-month-old son, Issak, was murdered by her boyfriend.
