Today is my last official day as a working flight attendant. I'm not having a retirement party, but I'm having incredible conversations with extraordinary people.
Owner and operator of Yoga Home in Pompano Beach, Florida, Corbin, Stacy, came on the show to chat about what life is like after departing the airline industry. This conversation became personal quickly. Corbin shared what happened to him emotionally days and weeks after he believes he was wrongfully terminated from the airline industry. The conversation was edgy, passionate, and truthful. How do you pick yourself back up and move on after a chapter ends? What lessons did he learn from the airline industry? Did those lessons help him become a better entrepreneur? We talked about how important yoga is to his healing and the struggles he goes through trying to balance his mindfulness with his anger towards airline management.

As a CrossFit business owner, how do you react when the CEO of the company you represent speaks out with ideas that don't fit your personal business model? We discussed it all and even threw around a bunch of pilot jokes to make DJ feel like he's back in the flight deck with a sassy flight attendant.

Author, poet, and educator, Joseph Anthony, came on the show to discuss his latest book, Colors, which is a collection of poetry that anyone who has experienced denial, sadness, anger, strength, love, and happiness will connect with. We discussed LGBTQ Pride and shared our coming out to stories (Spoiler, they are extremely different). We also chatted about what it's like teaching first graders via Zoom, where he gets his writing inspiration, and he was so gracious to read two different poems during the episode.

Photographer, Nicole Bissey, called in and we started by paying respects to Nicole's mother, who recently passed and talked about the incredible gift she left for Nicole. We discussed the different ways we searched and found our biological parents, growing up an only child, and meeting our biological siblings. This conversation was frank. I can't speak for Nicole, but I might have been a little too honest a few times. The conversation stretched from talking about my biological father parked outside my childhood home when I was a toddler just to get a glimpse at me to Nicole's biological mother ending up in prison.

Mike called in to discuss music, songwriting, musical education, and how his parents encouraged him to play the saxophone at an early age. Limey called in to discuss the circumstances that surrounded his 2018 decision to shut down his incredibly popular Instagram account, Limeyflyer. We discussed social media, conspiracy theorists, and how internet trolls thrive on setting little fires around the internet so they can watch them burn. And sometimes these social media terrorists do more than harass you online. Online trolls go as far as threatening you, attempting to get you fired, and are not happy until they've caused you as much heartache as possible.
We also chatted about family, work, life during COVID 19, and rebranding himself with his new hobby of grilling.
